Our beautiful cottages are located in Applegate, Michigan just 4 miles south of Port Sanilac. Applegate is a village in Sanilac County in the state of Michigan. Applegate is in the southeast corner of Washington Township on the boundary with Sanilac Township.
Close to the cottages is Port Sanilac. This area contains Sanilac County Historical Museum and Village. There are more than a dozen historic buildings in Port Sanilac. In the summer months tours are given Wednesday through Sunday from 11am until 4pm. The Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum is a collection of more than a dozen historic buildings located on ten acres of the original Dr. Joseph Loop estate in the Lake Huron harbor village of Port Sanilac.
There are many things to do in the Port Sanilac area. There’s a Farmers Market on the museum grounds Fridays from Memorial weekend until the end of October 2-7pm. The Blue Water Winery and Vineyard on Holverson Road which has a store and tasting room in Lexington. There is kayak rental at the Harbor Master's office. Basketball and Tennis Courts located behind the fire hall and baseball diamonds at the Bark Shanty Community Center. Of course fishing off the breakwall, and shipwreck dives. Do you like to swim? There is swimming from the DNR beach.
If you prefer to shop, there is plenty of shopping in the area too. Reemarkables (vintage collectables and re-purposed items), 2nd Wind Consignment shop, Karen's Creations, East Port Exchange, Rising Sun Art Studio and Beach Boutique.
Are you looking for more to do? The Barn Theatre is located on the museum grounds and features plays, concerts and musicals. Visit the Port Sanilac Lighthouse that was built in 1884. And throughout the summer you can come to Music on the Harbor on Saturday nights.

All cottages are equipped with coffee maker, toaster, dishes/silverware, refrigerator and microwave. Each cottage has bathroom w/shower, ceiling fans, Cable TV, a/c and Wi-Fi. All cottages except cottage 8 have a stove. Cottage 8 has a toaster oven and hot plate.
